課程概述 |
This is an introductory course that aims to equip students with the fundamental skills necessary for consecutive interpretation. Students will re-learn effective ways to listen to, analyze, and assimilate information. They will explore how memory works, and learn how to retain and recall information at will. They will examine speech texts and learn conference jargon. Through summary exercises, they will learn how to glean the gist and extract meaning from discourse. Note-taking skills for consecutive interpreting will also be introduced to the students to enable them to develop their own note-taking system. |
